Biography

Anne-Christine Wemekamp (first soprano) is a graduate of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she furthered her studies in classical singing as a member of the Netherlands Youth Choir.

As a soloist, Anne-Christine has sung various oratorio roles by Bach, and the role of Dido in Purcell’s opera “Dido and Aeneas”. She has also performed with Opera Trionfo, and in Germany and the Netherlands with the Drenthe Symphony Orchestra. Anne-Christine also works as a teacher in the Education department of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she specialises in teaching music and singing to young children.

Anne-Christine is the founder of Wishful Music Education (Wishful ME). With this educational programme , Wishful Singing works towards improving the quality of music education at primary schools.
