We are back with the VOCES8 Scholars Ensemble for a winter edition of Gregorian Treasures. We now present this special winter programme centred around Gregorian chant and early polyphony. In the midst of the busy period around Advent and Christmas, this concert offers a moment of calm and stillness, carried by the harmonious voices of two top vocal ensembles.

We perform a new soundtrack to Fritz Lang's film. Composer-in-residence Steven Kamperman writes brand-new music. This music — full of haunting vocals, piercing percussion and crossovers between human and machine — not only adds an extra layer, but also challenges you to watch and question the iconic classic in a contemporary way, 100 years after its premiere.

Our online course ‘Gregorian Treasures’ provides you with a one-of-a-kind journey through the roots of Gregorian chant. You will experience a profound sense of tranquility as you delve into the melodic intricacies and devotional lyrics of this ancient practise, creating a deeply engaging experience with both sound and silence.
